So tonight, I first lunged him over a single pole, then trotted through some angled trot poles, then I lunged him over a simple cross rail, trot first then canter, in both directions. OK, he seems to do some weird thing with his hind legs.

I had my husband, Brian, watch as we warmed up under saddle. He, Neubee, sort of drags a hind leg, at lazy trot, but better when working from behind. Then we did the cross rail, very similair to the one he fall at. All was fine.

I wonder, though, if his stifles or hocks could need a little “help”. He was vetted before we rescued him, and he was sound. But he does drag a little. The question is “How much money do we spend on a $500.00 rescue.” He is 11 or 12, (I can’t remember), he was successful on the track (i.e., he did work). I think I would just get the joints injected if I could, and not do a full “work up”.
