A 16’3″hand bay thoroughbred gelding. Suitable for beginning through intermediate English riders. Jackson has a solid quiet disposition. He also has food allergies, he is even jacksonbitesrazallergic to alfalfa. But, he is a great mount and a very comfortable ride. He would make a very nice equitation horse because he is so comfortable and carries himself so well. Jackson has the most personality of our horses. At left, he is biting Razzle’s tail to play!
jacksonlahweb Here is husband Brian riding Jackson at a hunter pace put on by LAH, Los Altos Hounds.

We lost Jackson mostly to old age in 2012. He was such a great horse, the kind that could have been a police horse.

The funnies story about jackson: Once when I was de-sensitizing a clients horse to mylar pompoms, all the horses in the near pasture came running to the fence to see. I watched them and thought, “Oh, they need the pom pom in the pasture”. The pompom was stuck into a 15-gallon plastic planter, such that the handle was inside the planter and when it was turned upsidedown the pompom was on the top.

When the pompom went into the pasture, all the horse gathered around it in a circle about 10 or more feet away.  All big eyes and nostriles, all but Jackson.  He went over to the plastic planter and nudged it with his nose.  It tipped over. All the horses ran back about 10 more feet and turned to look, all but Jackson.

Jackson saw the handle inside the 15-gallon planter which was now laying on its side. He reached in, grabbed the handle and then, his head completely inside this black plastic monstrosity, lifted his head to look around. All the other horses went balistic; it was eating Jackson. He just moved his head a bit and realized he couldn’t see, then he dropped it.

It was funnily amazingly hilarious! We miss his silly antics!

We miss you BoBo the Clown!
